The journey leads to the base of Mt. Makalu (8,485 m), the world’s fifth-highest peak, and through the pristine Barun Valley.
Arrived in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Transfer to a hotel for rest and relaxation.
Visit UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu: Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square for cultural exploration.
Fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and then drive to Num village, starting point of the trek. Enjoy the scenic drive through rural landscapes.
Begin trekking from Num to Seduwa. Experience lush forests and picturesque views as you progress through the trail.
Continue trekking through terraced fields and forests to reach Tashi Gaon, a Sherpa village, known for its unique culture and hospitality.
Ascend to Kongma Danda, passing through rhododendron forests and gaining altitude for stunning mountain views.
Trek over Tutu-La and Shipton-La passes, with impressive views of Makalu and the surrounding peaks. The trail involves rocky terrain and elevation gain.
Descend from Dobato to Yangle Kharka, walking through alpine meadows and rocky paths, with views of high Himalayan landscapes.
Continue trekking to Langmale Kharka or Jark Kharka, where you’ll experience higher altitudes and mountain vistas.
Trek to Makalu Base Camp, the highlight of the trek, offering panoramic views of Mt. Makalu (8,485 m), the fifth-highest peak in the world.
Spend a day at Makalu Base Camp for scenic exploration, capturing the beauty of high-altitude landscapes and exploring nearby areas.
Descend back to Yangle Kharka from Makalu Base Camp, retracing the path through pristine nature and picturesque views.
Continue trekking from Yangle Kharka to Dobato, descending through alpine forests and enjoying a peaceful environment.
Return to Kongma Danda, descending from Dobato with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Descend further to Seduwa School, passing through Sherpa villages and lush landscapes, marking a significant portion of the return journey.
Continue the descent to Num, then drive back to Tumlingtar for overnight stay.
Fly back from Tumlingtar to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Spend the evening exploring or relaxing in the capital.

Depart for home or your next destination from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
The best time for Makalu Base Camp & Barun Valley Trekking is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. During these months, the weather is stable, skies are clear, and temperatures are mild, offering the best trekking conditions and breathtaking views.

Which is similar to its Tibetan predecessors. Every house is adorned with prayer flags and villages have religious monuments and prayer walls.The hills are lined with beautiful forests lined with rhododendron, oaks, hemlocks, pines, and fir trees. Higher up with Juniper and Birch trees, but soon gives away for short bushes and shrubs within rocky and windswept terrains. The other places after Tashi-Gaon on route to Makalu base camp are temporary settlements to cater to the needs of travelers with nice simple huts serving as lodges. On leaving Num village till to the end, overnights in tented camping due to lack of good lodges in few areas for overnight stops. Includes, full support of camping kitchen unit of cook, kitchen staff, guides and porters to carry all the needful camping gear for the whole trekking.Nepal has more than 60 ethnic groups and 70 native spoken languages, with a blend of Hindu and Buddhism religions.On this trek expect more uphill climbs with downhill walks, but with constant views of snow-capped peaks. Overlooking Makalu, Baruntse Himal and Kanchenjunga as far as Mt. Everest and Lhotse range.
