Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 2Kathmandu Sightseeing

Visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath, and Durbar Square.

Day 3Fly to Nepalgunj

Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (1-hour flight). Stay overnight in Nepalgunj.

Day 4 Fly to Juphal & Trek to Dunai

Early morning flight from Nepalgunj to Juphal (2,500 m). Trek from Juphal to Dunai (2,850 m) – 4 hours. Overnight in Dunai.

Day 5Dunai to Ankhe

Trek from Dunai to Ankhe (2,930 m) – 6 hours. Enjoy views of terraced fields and forests.

Day 6Ankhe to Renje

Trek from Ankhe to Renje (3,180 m) – 5 hours. Pass through narrow gorges and lush vegetation.

Day 7Renje to Phoksundo Lake

Trek from Renje to Phoksundo Lake (3,611 m) – 6 hours. Phoksundo Lake is one of Nepal’s deepest and most picturesque glacial lakes.

Day 8Acclimatization at Phoksundo

Rest and explore Phoksundo Lake and Shey Phoksundo National Park. Optional short hikes to nearby viewpoints.

Day 9Phoksundo to Sallaghari

Trek from Phoksundo to Sallaghari (3,670 m) – 5 hours. Enjoy views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 10Sallaghari to Shey Gompa via Kang La Pass

Trek from Sallaghari to Shey Gompa (4,300 m) via Kang La Pass (5,350 m) – 7 hours. A challenging day with breathtaking panoramic views.

Day 11Explore Shey Gompa

Explore Shey Gompa and its ancient monasteries, known for their unique Tibetan architecture and religious artifacts.

Day 12Shey Gompa to Namduna Gaon

Trek from Shey Gompa to Namduna Gaon (4,200 m) – 5 hours. Experience the traditional Dolpo villages and their lifestyle.

Day 13Namduna Gaon to Saldang

Trek from Namduna Gaon to Saldang (3,870 m) – 6 hours. Cross several passes and remote regions.

Day 14Saldang to Tokyu

Trek from Saldang to Tokyu (4,450 m) – 6 hours. Enjoy views of the Shey and Mustang regions.

Day 15Tokyu to Dho Tarap

Trek from Tokyu to Dho Tarap (4,090 m) – 5 hours. This remote village offers deep cultural insights into Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 16Return to Tokyu

Trek from Dho Tarap back to Tokyu – 6 hours. A scenic and less-traveled route.

Day 17Tokyu to Juphal

Trek from Tokyu to Juphal (2,500 m) – 6 hours. Return to the starting point for the flight back.

Day 18Fly to Nepalgunj & Kathmandu

Fly from Juphal to Nepalgunj, then Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
