The most demanding of treks done in Langtang Region is the Ganja La pass trek. To get to Tarke Gyang (Helambu) from Kyanjin Gompa ( Langtang) it is required to cross the Ganja La pass at 5,122m and that is the main part of the trek. This trek gives you the opportunity to discover the famous and serene Langtang region along with the Ganja La Pass which stands at an altitude of 5,122m or 16,800ft. Ascend or excursion around to Tserko ri (5000m) gives you most amazing view of the Langtang Mountain ranges in the Himalaya. From holy Gosaikunda Lakes to Tibetan culture and lifestyle of the Tamangs, this trek takes you to an incredible roller coaster of aaing new experiences. Following the same route to Langtang valley and Gosaikunda trek till Kyanjin Gompa, Journey starts at Syafrubesi as well. Ganja La Pass is one of steeper and challenging among major passes in Nepalese Himalaya region. Although the pass is open to visitors from April to November, fluctuating weather conditions can affect. This trek ends in the Helambu region. Starting from the ride to Syafrubesi from Kathmandu, all the way through Langtang valley, Kyanjin Gompa, mighty Ganja La Pass to Melamchi at the end of the trip, the journey throughout is full of soothing deciduous forest, river valleys, rhododendron forests, rice terraces, panoramic mountain views of Lantang Lirung (7,225m), Naya Kang ( 5,844m), Ganchempo ( 6,387m, Ganesh himal ( 7,406m) and Yala Peak at 5500m, Glacial moraines to so much more and beyond words, this trek is a package full of surprises, adventures and new experiences for any traveler.
Best Season:
Autumn or fall (from mid-September to November) and spring (from March to May) are considered best seasons for Ganja La Pass trek. Days are warm and sunny with cold but clear nights most of the time and clear sky views are amazing.

Day 5lama hotel-langtang village

: 6-7 hours of trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3,430m), O/N at a lodge in Langtang Village

Day 6langtang village-kyangjing gompa

5-6 hours of trek from langtang village to kyanjin Gompa (3,870m), O/N at a tea house in Kyangjing gompa

Day 7rest day

From Kyanjin Viewpoint to Tserko Ri (5,033m) viewpoint and trek back to Kyanjin Gompa for rest and overnight stay in hotel.

6-7 hours of trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Ngegang (4000m), O/N at Ngegang on tenting camp
