Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome in Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. A briefing session will follow, explaining the trek details and necessary preparations.

Day 2Guided tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO heritage sites

This day is dedicated to exploring Kathmandu’s cultural gems. Visit iconic sites like Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site; Boudhanath Stupa, a massive Buddhist shrine; and Swayambhunath, known as the Monkey Temple for its resident monkeys. These landmarks provide a cultural and historical insight before the trek.

Day 3Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820 m)

A scenic drive of 6–7 hours takes you to the tranquil city of Pokhara. The journey offers picturesque views of terraced farmlands, lush hills, and Himalayan peaks. In Pokhara, enjoy the serene Phewa Lake and surrounding landscapes.

Day 4 Drive or fly to Jomsom (2,720 m) and trek to Kagbeni (2,800 m)

A morning flight or drive to Jomsom introduces you to the unique, windy terrain of the Kali Gandaki Valley. From Jomsom, a short trek leads to Kagbeni, a picturesque village with medieval charm and Tibetan-style architecture.

Day 5 Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3,710 m)

Today’s trek ascends towards the sacred town of Muktinath. Known for its temple and 108 water spouts, Muktinath is a revered site for both Hindus and Buddhists. The day ends with spiritual vibes and stunning mountain views.

Day 6Trek from Muktinath to Marpha (2,670 m)

Descend towards Marpha, passing through Jomsom. Marpha is famous for its apple orchards and apple products like cider and brandy. The cobbled streets and whitewashed houses of Marpha offer a unique charm.

Day 7Trek from Marpha to Ghasa (2,010 m)

The trail follows the Kali Gandaki River, gradually descending to Ghasa. This region is a birdwatcher’s paradise and marks the entry into the lush lower Mustang region.

Day 8Trek from Ghasa to Tatopani (1,200 m)

Day 9Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,874 m)

Ascending through lush forests of rhododendron and oak, you reach Ghorepani, a popular trekking hub. The village offers stunning views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks.

Day 10 Early morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,570 m)

An early hike to Poon Hill rewards you with a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After soaking in the views, descend to Tikhedhunga, passing through vibrant villages.

Day 11Trek from Tikhedhunga to Nayapul (1,070 m) and drive to Pokhara

The trek concludes with a descent to Nayapul, where a vehicle awaits to drive you back to Pokhara. Celebrate the completion of your trek with a relaxing evening by Phewa Lake.

Day 12Drive or fly back to Kathmandu

Enjoy a scenic journey back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, relax at your hotel or explore the bustling streets of Thamel for souvenirs.

Day 13 Free day in Kathmandu for leisure or guided tours (optional)

This is a day to unwind or explore more of Kathmandu’s vibrant culture. Visit local markets or additional heritage sites, or simply relax before your journey home.

Day 14 Final departure from Kathmandu
