Overview

Starting from Kathmandu Valley, this tour gives you an insight on the cultural, religious and economic aspects of the country; it then takes you to Chitwan in the south, inner Terai which with jungle safaris, different culture from Kathmandu, canoeing, sub-tropical climate and forests feels like a different world. From Chitwan the trek diverts to Pokhara, the famous lake city and a tourist hub. Pokhara is again a different world of its own, with clear views of snow-capped Mountains like Machhapuchre ( fishtail, 6,199m), many lakes like few lake, Begnash lake Rupa Lake etc, caves, waterfalls ( Devi’s falls) and the overall scenic beauty of Pokhara, this tinsel town gives you so beautiful experiences and sights. This 8 day tour will take you through a roller coaster of nature, culture and historical monuments in Nepal.

Main attractions/places to visit:

There are seven UNESCO world heritage sites inside Kathmandu valley alone. This tour will take you to those places, from Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Kathmandu, Bhaktpaur and Patan Durbar square to Pashupatinath and more, the world heritage sites are more than worthy of visit. The three Durbar squares of Kathmandu Valley are unique in style of making and spending examples of craftsmanship. From erotic carvings on the walls to unusual statues, these durbar squares of so much to offer. Nagarkot is the perfect spot just few kilometers away from Kathmandu to witness soothing sunrise and sunset with layers of hazing blue hills and snow-capped Mountains in the background. Another attraction is the Chitwan National park which is considered one of the most important national parks of Asia. Famous from elephant breeding, one horn rhinos and royal Bengal tigers, Chitwan is capable of fascinating even most avid travelers who have seen it all. Pokhara valley itself is filled with things you should not miss, from Devi’s falls to peace pagoda, sunrise from Sarangkot, Fewa lakes, caves etc.

This tour can be done all around the year without any difficulty. Spring and autumn are obviously the best seasons for those who are interested in vegetation and other natural factors, but even in other season there is so much to see and do, you will not be disappointed.

Itinerary

Day 1Kathmandu

upon your arrival on Kathmandu our representative will escort you to your hotel for rest and refreshment. The dinner will be held by company at a traditional Nepalese restaurant with various cultural shows. Overnight stay will beat a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2Kathmandu

Early Morning Mountain flight (at 7 am), breakfast will be served beforehand at hotel. Full day will be spent sightseeing with a professional and multilingual tour guide. Overnight stay will be at a hotel.

Day 3Chitwan

25 min flight to Bharatpur or 5-6 hours in a tourist bus, Bharatpur to Saurah ( 45 min by road) and lunch at a hotel in Saurah. A village tour in the afternoon, Tharu villages especially. Cultural shows by the Tharus in evening. Then we will get you back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4Chitwan

Canoe safari in the morning and a visit to the Elephant breeding centre. Afternoon will be spent in Jungle Safari riding on an elephant. Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Chitwan.

Day 5Pokhara

3-4 hours drive from Chitwan to Pokhara after breakfast. O/N stay will be in a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 6Pokhara

early morning hike to Sarangkot for a splendid sunrise view. Afternoon will be spent sightseeing in Pokhara, all the important, fun and fascinating places in Pokhara like the Fewa lake, different caves, peace pagoda, Bindhyabasini temple etc will be toured. We will be staying at a hotel for the night.

Day 7Kathmandu

25 minutes flight back to Kathmandu from Pokhara or 6-7 hours via road, once in Kathmandu you will be taken to a hotel in Nagarakot for overnight stay.

Day 8Kathmandu

After touring Nagarkot, we will take a tour to Bhaktapur, Kathmandu and Patan Durbar square as well as other world heritage sites, and then back to a hotel in Kathmandu for overnight stay.

Day 9Kathmandu

End of the tour, departure to your next destination.
