However, Nepal is not all about the eight thousanders, there are other peaks below that mark that are exciting and can be climbed with less effort. One of the most popular peaks for average trekkers to climb is the Mera Peak. The peak is at 6,461m or 21,190 ft tall and offers breathtakingly scenic views. This peak is quite the popular one with trekkers as it is also the highest peak in Khumbu valley of Everest region. This peak at the edge of Khumbu region is dominated the might Mount Everest. It is an excellent opportunity for trekkers to mount a summit in short time and with only average calibre but yet experience astounding views and have a record of personal achievement. Experience being above the clouds and viewing world renowned mountains like Everest ( 8,848m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Makalu ( ), Lhotse, Cho-oyu and other. So, this summit is going to extraordinarily scenic.

This expedition to cummit Mera peak starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the flight is exciting and exhilarating with splendind views. We trek for some days through beautiful Himalayan valleys to get to proximity of the Mera Mountain area. As we will be climbing above 5000m , altitude can be a problem but Mera is actually a technically easy mountain to climb. You don’t need any special qualification except enthusiasm, passion and total physical fitness to climb Mera peak.

Best season
When it comes to trekking and climbing mountains in Himalaya, sping and autumn are two most favourable seasons. For Mera climbing March, April and May in spring and mid-Septmeber to mid-November in autumn are the best months.
